September 15th 2007 9:00am–1:00pm in Lincoln Theater at The University of Hartford we will feature Movement and Multi-cultural Songs presented by Colleen Casey-Nelson.

Are you looking for a new game, movement activity or song to help jump start your year.  Then come and see Colleen Casey-Nelson.  Colleen teaches multicultural music and arts integration classes at Central Connecticut State University as well as being the music director at The Cobb School Montessori in Simsbury, CT.  For this workshop Colleen will lead us in movement and multicultural songs that can be used in the music classroom.  Come and join in the fun!!!

January 26th 2008 9:00am-1:00pm in Lincoln Theater at The University of Hartford, we will feature Special Education in the Music Classroom presented by Dr. Alice Hammel.

Are you at a loss as to how to reach and engage some of your special education students?  Or, are you looking for some new ideas to help all of your students stay focused and successful?  Then come and see Dr. Alice Hammel.  Alice is a leader in the field of special learners and music, who currently teaches for James Madison University, Christopher Newport University, and St. Andrews School.  Alice will show us how we can successfully incorporate music into the lives of special learners.  This will be a very unique and educational workshop.

April 19th 2008 9:00am-1:00pm at Naugatuck Valley Community College, we will present Techniques for the Choral Program presented by Amy Bernon.

Do you ever wonder how conductors/composers are able to put a piece of music together with students they have never met?  Do you enjoy singing through and learning about new choral music?  Are you interested in having your choir or school commission a new piece?  The come and see Amy Bernon.  Amy is a local composer from the Greater Waterbury Area.  She has been the conductor of the Litchfield County Children’s Choir, a teacher at Taft as well as the founder and conductor of the Alamanda Women's Choir of Connecticut.  Amy will take us through many different songs, activities, and ideas to help us reengage our choirs.  We will also be able to see Amy in action with some fourth and fifth grade students from around the state!!
